While conducting some information gathering, the CWC team came across information regarding child daycare centers and services.
There appears to be a larg group of individuals who are against, or do not like, child daycare centers.
A few of the comments we came across at http://www.daycaresdontcare.org stated:
- Daycare workers may not love your child as their own
- Daycare is similar to having adoptive parents
- Children get hurt too much in daycare and would be safer at home
- Bad daycares are unlikely to get shut down
We were shocked by the comments as we have not experienced any problems with daycare services with our children. Nor have we had any first hand experience with a friend or family member having daycare problems.
It would not be too difficult to find scientific evidence to support why daycare centers may or may not be good for kids. If you visit the above site they have a ton of resources.
